Hockney on Photography, and Uncertainty: Modernity and Art.

1. Explain why you selected each of the TWO videos you choose from the selection listed above.

Photography is my major, I wanted to view Hockney on Photography because Hockney wasn't a name I'd heard before. The other video I selected because the idea of uncertainty within an art movement seemed compelling and interesting to view.

3. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?

The videos went into further details, and specific areas of art covered in the book. The book and readings are good for a general synopsis of an era, the important players and movements of the time. While the videos have been a good way of rounding out the edges by connecting these large movements, and figures together.

4. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to the understanding of the readings and art concepts?
